How many times have you been exasperated by poor after sales service?  Again the answer is to check out the experiences of others before buying.  Look at the testimonials on the distributors / manufacturers website and use a search engine like Google to investigate the experiences of other customers.  Our Google searches produced numerous examples of customer dissatisfaction with Mosquito Magnet® after sales service in the past and examples of Mega-Catch™ customers being fulsome in their praise.  A reviewer of the Mega-Catch™ ULTRA trap on Amazon.com notes “This is the best warranty service we have ever received and we have recommended Mega-Catch™ to several of our friends who have bought ULTRA traps.” Source.

Mega-Catch™ also have several customer testimonials on their website confirming their customer service is of the highest level, examples are “Your customer service is #1” and “I can’t thank you enough for your stellar customer service.  I will certainly pass the word” Source.

A reviewer on Epinions of the Mosquito Magnet® Liberty titles his review “Buy this Product only if you have patience with tech support” Source. Another reviewer of the Liberty says “now that it is broken they want [$]395 to fix it.  They will coddle you along until the warranty expires saying that you have the wrong type of mosquito or some rubbish.  Do not buy these units” Source.

A reviewer of the Mosquito Magnet® Liberty on Amazon.com comments starts their review by saying “I will NEVER recommend this product to ANYONE EVER!  The customer service is terrible” Source.

As discussed earlier Flowtron® appear to have design issues with their MT-350 and MT-275 traps in relation to the propane system clogging.  One customer included in his review of the MT-350 “Called Flowtron® customer support several times with little satisfaction … the latest call resulted them telling me the unit is now beyond warranty even though the unit had failed before the warranty period expired …bottom line … unit doesn’t work and customer service doesn’t either …” Source.

A review of the Flowtron® PV-440 model (doesn’t use propane) again highlights reliability, design and customer service problems with the reviewer stating “After twice sending the unit back to the factory … I opened the unit … I found totally frozen fan bearings … the unit is cheaply made and therefore unreliable …” Source.

Another reviewer comments “It works but only for a short time” Source.

A reviewer of the Dynatrap® by Dynaseal Inc., commented that “I sent emails to the company for replacement parts  and they would not answer my emails…” Source.
